Trust the Season You’re In

There’s a rhythm to everything. To nature, to creativity, to the way we move through life. But somewhere along the way, we forget that. We start believing we should always be growing, always producing, always moving forward at full speed.

We treat life like a race, measuring ourselves against invisible deadlines, comparing our progress to everyone else’s. And when things slow down—when we’re in a season of waiting, rest, or uncertainty—it feels like we’re falling behind.

But here’s what I’ve been learning: every season has a purpose.

The quiet seasons? They’re for reflection, for gathering ideas, for processing what’s next.
The busy seasons? They’re for creating, doing, and making things happen.
The in-between seasons? They’re for transitioning, for letting go, for preparing for what’s ahead.

Nature gets this instinctively. Trees don’t bloom all year round. They shed leaves, grow roots, and rest before they blossom again. The tide ebbs before it rushes back in. But we fight our own cycles, expecting ourselves to be in full bloom 24/7.

Right now, I’m trying to trust the season I’m in—even when it’s slower than I’d like, even when things feel uncertain. Because maybe this season is doing the work I can’t yet see. Maybe I’m growing roots before I grow branches.

If you’re in a season of waiting, rest, or change, I hope you know this: it doesn’t mean you’re stuck. It means you’re evolving. The seasons will shift, as they always do. Your only job? Trust the timing.
