Issue No. 07
Ten families. A New Year's Eve. The grown children arrived already themselves. They didn't need managing or translation. They added to the room instead of pulling at it. This is a different kind of success.
Issue No. 06
I was so busy pre-grieving the empty nest that I missed something obvious. My friends were standing in exactly the same place. And the emotional shape of it feels strangely familiar.
Issue No. 05
I keep meeting new people on the tennis court. They ask how old my kids are. Lately, the answer comes with a pause. Not sadness, exactly. Recognition.
Issue No. 04
A friend once described her mother's retirement in three words I've never forgotten: the speed of decline. This isn't really about clothes. It never is.
Issue No. 03
Our kids think they know us because they've known us their entire lives. But what they really know is a single edited chapter. The parent edition. They missed the prequel.
Issue No. 02
A late-night scroll, a Stanford design exercise, and the strangely grounding act of imagining three versions of your future. None perfect. All revealing.
Issue No. 01
The first issue. A small hello, a confession from bed, and the moment I realized I'd added artisanal olive oil to my cart for someone who may not even like olive oil.
